The 8th Annual Spokane River Clean-Up will take place Saturday, Sept. 25, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. This longstanding tradition of clean-up includes the Spokane River Gorge starting at High Bridge Park including Latah creek and the bluffs below Overlook Park.
This event is coordinated annually by Friends of the Falls–which works to engage people directly with the Spokane River so they will love it and work to keep it clean, safe and accessible for generations to come–with the assistance of dozens of partner organizations.
Online registration is open now at www.friendsofthefalls.org. Please register in advance but Browns Addition walk-in registrants are welcome the day of the event.
In 2009 750+ people (including Browns Addition residents), collected over eight tons of trash, over two tons of it recycled.
I hope Browns Addition residents make a strong showing!
If you are a part of the Browne's Addition neighborhood, this is your community Blog. And its here for you, so comment on a post, add some information, make a post, subscribe to our mailing list, and come get to know your neighbors......See you in the neighborhood.
