 CHHS 2014 Coordinated Grant Funding Notice

The City of Spokane’s Community, Housing and Human Services Department (CHHS) is currently seeking proposals from organizations providing services benefiting extremely-low-to-moderate income residents. Funding for the 2014 Program Year is approximately $8.2 million and applications may be submitted through the Coordinated Grant Funding Notice. The Coordinated Grant Program provides a single point of entry for Community Development Block Grant, McKinney Vento Homeless Grant, Consolidated Homeless Housing Grant, City of Spokane Homeless Initiatives, City of Spokane Human Services Grant and Community Center Capacity Building program applications. Applications are due by October 11, 2013.
The CHHS Board will hold a public hearing to discuss the 2014 Program Year on September 10th, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St., Lower Level. This public hearing will cover the CHHS Board’s vision and mission statements, funding priorities and principles and offer other information to aid applicants with the new Coordinated Grant Program.
Three technical assistance sessions will be available on August 30th, September 13th and September 27th from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. Sessions will be held in the CHHS Conference Room, 6th Floor, City Hall. Content of the sessions will be based on questions received by email and grouped into general topic areas (e.g. preparing a budget, procurement processes, agency collaborations, etc). Topics will be posted on the CHHS website by noon on Thursday, the day before the session. Please email questions to spokanechhs@spokanecity.org. BeGin is back for the summer! All ages are welcome to the MAC’s Friday after work party.

To complement the SPOMa exhibit, Spare Parts, a 60s-70s retro band, will be playing from 6-9pm out on the front lawn. There is no admittance fee. Bring chairs and blankets and your IDs. The fabulous exhibit galleries will be open for viewing and a no-host bar with a variety of beverages. Note: Under 21 years of age are allowed into the beer/wine gardens with parental supervision.
