Vehicles Must Be Moved In Browne's Addition For Leaf Pickup

Fall leaf pickup is coming to the Browne's Addition neighborhood Tuesday, December 6 and Wednesday, December 7.

Starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday crews will be sweeping the north/south streets. Cars that are not removed from these north/south streets will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday crews will be sweeping the east/west streets. Cars that are not removed from these east/west streets will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Remember not to rake leaves onto the street. Leaves that fall into a yard are the property owners' responsibility. City crews remove only the leaves that fall naturally into the streets.

In the event of snow, leaf pickup will be postponed until weather allows.

Elections over?
Not so fast.... Your Neighborhood Council will hold it's elections on January 4, 2017.
We promise that we will take it easy on you. No mud slinging, no threats of prosecution, no promises of building walls.
We need a few good folks to fill some very important positions on the Executive Committee.
This is your chance to get involved in guiding the direction of your neighborhood.
We need to fill the positions of Secretary and Communications Officer, as these positions are being vacated.
Though these positions are up for grabs, all positions can be challenged.
Chair, Vice-chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Communications Officer, and several positions as Member(s) at Large.
If you feel like you would like to get involved and join the team, be at our January 4, 2017 General Meeting and let us know.

Attention to photos sent regarding 2029 W. Second Ave. property

Hello,
A few weeks ago I asked our BANC communications officer, Tim Finneran, to forward the public notice for the application of a demolition permit related to the property at 2029 W. Second Ave. to our neighborhood council. I also asked Tim to include photos of the building that was planned to occupy this address. In error, I provided copy written photos in my email to Tim.  This was my error.

Respecting the legal rights of the owners of those photos, I ask you to delete any copies you have of these photos and to not make any that you have public in any manner.

These photos will be removed from any form of electronic media used by our executive committee.

Thank you for your attention to this and my apologies for any inconvenience this causes you and also to the legal owners of the photos.

Rick Biggerstaff
Chair, Browne's Addition Neighborhood Council

Better late than never

Subject: Community Forum this Saturday

Friends:
Please join us at the Police & Community Forum this Saturday, February 27, at 4 pm: “Bridging the Gap: Building Trust and Legitimacy” (see flyer below).  Many courageous conversations took place at the last forum, and the survey results showed that people thought it was a worthwhile event. 82% of participants agreed with the question: Did this event further our goal of building trust?  92% of participants agreed with the question: Do you feel this event gives the community a chance to be heard?

We hope to build on the success with future forums, working toward building bridges and relationships through dialogue. This month’s forum is at Life Center Church, 1202 W. Government Way, Spokane WA 99224. For more information, please contact Pastor Shon Davis at 509-389-6205.

Hope to see you there!
